Miguel Almirón

Miguel Almirón is a professional Paraguayan midfielder or winger who plays for Major League Soccer club Atlanta United and the Paraguay national team.

Almirón began at Cerro Porteño and played for Lanús before joining Atlanta United in 2016, winning the MLS Cup. He moved to Newcastle United in 2019 for a club-record fee, winning the EFL Cup, before returning to Atlanta in January 2025.

He debuted for Paraguay in 2015, representing them at multiple Copa América tournaments and the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
