Yassine Chikhaoui

Yassine Chikhaoui is a Tunisian attacking midfielder best known for a lengthy spell at FC Zürich, where he became one of the Swiss Super League's standout creative forces. A technically gifted forward-thinking midfielder, he represented Tunisia across 42 international appearances and scored 10 goals.

Chikhaoui came through at Étoile du Sahel, helping the club win the Tunisian league in 2006–07 before moving to Switzerland. At FC Zürich he spent eight seasons from 2007 to 2015, contributing 28 goals in 116 appearances and collecting Swiss Super League and Swiss Cup medals. His performances earned him the Tunisian Footballer of the Year award in 2014 and a place in the Swiss Super League Team of the Year for 2014–15.

After leaving Zürich he had stints in Qatar with Al-Gharafa and in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ahli before returning to Étoile du Sahel, where he played until 2023. Internationally, Chikhaoui made 42 appearances for Tunisia between 2006 and 2021, finishing as runner-up at the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup.
