Alex Freeman

Alex Freeman is a young American defender who rose through Orlando City's academy before earning a move to Villarreal CF in La Liga in 2026. He was selected for the United States' 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.

Freeman came through the Orlando City academy and broke into the senior MLS team, combining first-team appearances with loan spells at Orlando City B. He won the U.S. Open Cup with Orlando City in 2022.

He transferred to Villarreal CF in 2026 and quickly earned his first senior international caps. He represented the USA at the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup, where the team finished as runners-up.
