Antonio Rüdiger

Antonio Rüdiger is a German centre-back who plays for Real Madrid and is one of the most decorated defenders in European club football, having won the Champions League with both Chelsea and Real Madrid. Aggressive, powerful, and assured in possession, he is a cornerstone of Germany's defensive line.

Rüdiger started his career at VfB Stuttgart before joining Roma in 2015 and then Chelsea in 2017. At Stamford Bridge he established himself as one of Europe's top centre-backs, winning the FA Cup, Europa League, and crucially the 2021 Champions League. He joined Real Madrid on a free transfer in 2022.

With Real Madrid he continued collecting honours, adding La Liga, the Copa del Rey, another Champions League in 2024, and multiple UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup titles. For Germany he won the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and has earned 82 caps, representing the team at the 2018 and 2022 World Cups and UEFA Euro 2020.
