Borja Iglesias

Borja Iglesias is a Spanish striker who plays for RC Celta de Vigo, best known for his six seasons at Real Betis where he won the Copa del Rey in 2022. He earned his first Spain cap in 2022 but was absent from the squad in 2023–24 following a protest over federation governance.

After developing through Celta's youth ranks and several loan spells in the lower divisions, Iglesias scored 22 goals for Real Zaragoza on loan in 2017–18, which earned him a move to Espanyol and then Real Betis in 2019. He became a fan favourite at Betis and lifted the Copa del Rey in 2022.

A loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen in early 2024 brought Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal medals, before he returned to Celta on loan and signed permanently in August 2025.
