La historia

Harry Souttar is an Aberdeen-born centre-back who represents Australia and is widely noted as the tallest outfield player to have appeared for the Socceroos. He has been at Leicester City since 2023 and captained Australia in a pre-World Cup friendly against Switzerland.

Souttar began his professional career with Dundee United before moving to Stoke City in 2016, where he made 70 appearances over seven years. Loan spells at Ross County, Fleetwood Town, and Sheffield United aided his development. He joined Leicester City in 2023 and helped the club win the EFL Championship in 2023–24.

Born in Scotland, he switched international allegiance to Australia in 2019 and made his debut for the Socceroos against Nepal in October of that year, scoring twice in a 5–0 win. He accumulated 38 caps and 11 goals — a notable tally for a central defender — and was part of Australia's 2022 FIFA World Cup squad.
