Charles Pickel

Charles Pickel is a defensive midfielder who represents the DR Congo national team internationally and plays for La Liga club Espanyol.

Pickel developed in the youth ranks of Basel, making his senior debut in 2016 and winning the Swiss Super League. He subsequently played for Grasshoppers, Grenoble in France, Famalicão in Portugal, and Cremonese in Italy before completing a transfer to Espanyol in 2025.

Born in Switzerland, Pickel represented Switzerland at youth international levels up to the under-20 side before making his senior debut for the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2023.
