Ehsan Hajsafi

Ehsan Hajsafi is Iran's most-capped outfield player, a veteran left-back with 146 international appearances who has had a distinguished career across Iran, Germany, Greece, and Belgium.

Hajsafi spent the bulk of his early career at Sepahan before venturing abroad to Germany with FSV Frankfurt, then to Greece with Panionios and Olympiacos, and back to Iran with Tractor. He joined AEK Athens in 2021 and won the Super League Greece title in 2022–23 before returning to Sepahan in 2025.

With 146 caps, he has represented Iran in three FIFA World Cups (2014, 2018, 2022) and four AFC Asian Cups, and is widely regarded as one of the country's greatest modern footballers.
