Fredrik Aursnes

Fredrik Aursnes is a Norwegian central midfielder from Hareid who plays for SL Benfica in Portugal. He is a versatile and hard-working presence in midfield who has experienced success at club level in Norway, the Netherlands, and Portugal.

Aursnes spent many years at Hødd and Molde FK in Norway, where he won the Eliteserien title in 2019, before moving to Feyenoord in 2021. He joined Benfica in 2022 and has been a regular starter, winning the Primeira Liga and domestic cups.

He made his Norway debut in June 2021 and temporarily stepped back from international duty in 2024 before returning ahead of the 2026 World Cup. He has over 20 caps for the national team.
