Gonzalo Plata

Gonzalo Plata is an Ecuadorian winger who won the Portuguese title with Sporting CP before moving through Valladolid and Al Sadd to join Flamengo in 2024, where he added a Copa Libertadores and Brasileirão in 2025. He has nearly 50 caps for Ecuador.

Plata joined Sporting CP from Independiente del Valle in 2019 and was part of the squad that won the Primeira Liga and Taça da Liga in 2020–21. After a permanent move to Valladolid and a stint in Qatar with Al Sadd, he signed for Flamengo in August 2024.

With Flamengo he won the Copa do Brasil in 2024 and the Copa Libertadores and Campeonato Brasileiro double in 2025. He has 49 caps and 8 goals for Ecuador.
