Johan Vásquez

Johan Vásquez is a Mexican centre-back who has been a fixture in Serie A with Genoa CFC since 2021, captaining the club in the 2025–26 season.

Vásquez progressed through Mexican football at Sonora and Monterrey before joining Genoa in 2021, initially on loan with an obligation to buy. He spent a period on loan at Cremonese before returning and becoming Genoa's captain for 2025–26.

He has earned 47 caps for Mexico since his international debut and was part of the 2023 and 2025 Gold Cup-winning squads as well as the 2025 Nations League triumph. He also won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
