L'histoire
Jordan Henderson is a veteran English midfielder who spent over a decade as Liverpool captain, leading the club to their first league title in thirty years and a Champions League triumph. After stints in Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands, he joined Brentford in 2025.
Henderson came through the Sunderland academy and made his professional breakthrough in 2008, with a loan spell at Coventry City strengthening his development before Liverpool paid around £16–20 million to sign him in 2011. He grew into a central leader at Anfield, being handed the captaincy in 2015 and marshalling the squad through the most successful period in the club's modern history.
After leaving Liverpool in 2023 he had spells at Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq and Dutch club Ajax, before moving to Brentford in 2025 to continue his Premier League career. Across 90 England appearances spanning six major tournaments, he established himself as one of the more enduring figures in the national side's midfield.
