Kai Trewin

Kai Trewin is an Australian central defender who won the A-League Men title with Melbourne City in 2024–25 before transferring to New York City FC in January 2026. He has 6 senior caps for the Socceroos.

Trewin progressed through youth football at Gungahlin United and Brisbane Roar's academy, making his professional debut for Brisbane Roar in March 2020. He spent four seasons at the club, accumulating 105 appearances, before joining Melbourne City on a three-year deal in July 2024.

At Melbourne City, he was named club Player of the Year in 2025 and featured in the PFA Team of the Season as City won the A-League championship. He moved to New York City FC on a contract through 2028–29 in January 2026 and earned his first senior Australia cap in 2025.
