Moisés Caicedo

Moisés Caicedo is one of the world's top defensive midfielders, a Chelsea regular who cost a British record transfer fee and has won the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup. He has over 60 caps for Ecuador.

Caicedo came through Independiente del Valle — winning the U-20 Copa Libertadores in 2020 — before Brighton & Hove Albion signed him. After two impressive seasons at Brighton he moved to Chelsea in 2023 for a then-British record fee, winning the Conference League and Club World Cup in 2024–25.

He has represented Ecuador since 2020, featuring at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and Copa América in 2021 and 2024, and had 61 caps by mid-2026.
