Oliver Baumann

Oliver Baumann is a German goalkeeper who has been the first-choice keeper and captain at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim since 2014, amassing over 500 Bundesliga appearances — a landmark he reached in November 2025. He made his Germany senior debut in October 2024 and was selected for the 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.

Baumann made his senior debut at SC Freiburg, where he became first choice and made 131 Bundesliga appearances from 2009 to 2014. He then joined Hoffenheim on a long-term deal, becoming an established Bundesliga keeper and being appointed club captain in 2022.

In the 2023–24 season he recorded the most saves of any goalkeeper in the Bundesliga. On 21 November 2025 he became the 14th player in Bundesliga history to reach 500 appearances in the competition. Internationally, he represented Germany at youth level and made his senior debut against the Netherlands in October 2024, earning 13 caps in total.
