Riyad Mahrez

Riyad Mahrez is an Algerian winger who plays for Al-Ahli Saudi FC, widely regarded as one of the finest Algerian players of his generation after trophy-laden spells at Leicester City and Manchester City.

Mahrez worked his way up from the lower tiers of French football via Quimper and Le Havre before Leicester City signed him in 2014. He was central to their astonishing Premier League title in 2015–16, winning the PFA Players' Player of the Year award. He joined Manchester City in 2018, where he won four more Premier League titles, the FA Cup, EFL Cup and the Champions League before moving to Al-Ahli in 2023.

He captained Algeria to their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations triumph and has accumulated 115 caps and 38 goals, making him one of the country's most decorated internationals.
