Alex Rufer is a professional midfielder who captains A-League club Wellington Phoenix and represents the New Zealand national team.
Rufer has spent the majority of his professional career with Wellington Phoenix, making over 150 appearances for the club.
He made his senior international debut for New Zealand in 2015 and helped the national team win the OFC Nations Cup in 2016 and 2024.
