Álvaro Fidalgo

Álvaro Fidalgo is a Spanish-born midfielder who came through Real Madrid's academy system and established himself as one of Liga MX's most creative players during a long spell with Club América. He switched his international allegiance to Mexico in early 2026.

After progressing through the Real Madrid youth ranks, Fidalgo had loan stints at Rayo Majadahonda and briefly appeared for the first team before joining Club América on loan in 2021, where the move became permanent. He was a cornerstone of three Liga MX title wins in 2023 and 2024 and earned multiple Best XI selections during his time in Mexico City.

Fidalgo transferred to Real Betis in 2026. Having previously represented Spain at youth level, he switched international allegiance to Mexico and earned his first senior caps in 2026.
