Aymeric Laporte

Aymeric Laporte is a Franco-Spanish centre-back who rejoined Athletic Club in 2025 after spells at Manchester City and Al-Nassr. He is a key figure in Spain's defence and won UEFA Euro 2024.

Laporte grew up in the Athletic Club academy and made 161 league appearances for the club before a record transfer to Manchester City in 2018 for £57 million. At City he won five Premier League titles and the continental treble in 2022–23, including the Champions League.

He spent two seasons at Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League (2023–25) before returning to Athletic Club on a three-year deal. Having switched international allegiance from France to Spain, he has been a regular starter for the national team since 2021.
