George Hirst

George Hirst is a Scottish international striker who came through Sheffield Wednesday's academy before building his career in English football. He declared for Scotland in March 2025 following a change of association.

Hirst progressed through Sheffield Wednesday's youth setup before joining Belgian side OH Leuven in 2018. A move to Leicester City followed in 2019, and he spent subsequent seasons on loan at Rotherham United, Portsmouth, and Blackburn Rovers.

In January 2023 he joined Ipswich Town on loan before the transfer was made permanent in July 2023. He contributed to the club's successive promotions through League One and the Championship, reaching the Premier League.
