Gonçalo Guedes is a Portuguese winger currently at Real Sociedad, best known for scoring the winning goal in the 2019 UEFA Nations League Final against the Netherlands. A product of Benfica's academy, he has had stints at PSG, Valencia, and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Guedes broke through at Benfica, becoming the youngest Portuguese player to score in the Champions League group stage at 18. A €30 million move to PSG in January 2017 was followed by a loan to Valencia, which became a €40 million permanent transfer in 2018. He spent four seasons at Valencia before joining Wolves in 2022.
After loan spells at Benfica (2023–24) and Villarreal (2024), he joined Real Sociedad in 2025. Internationally, he debuted for Portugal in 2015 and was pivotal in the 2019 Nations League triumph.
