The story
Julián Quiñones is a Colombian-born forward who switched international allegiance to Mexico in 2023 and has since become a prolific scorer, earning a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.
Quiñones began his career in Colombia before moving to Mexico, where he developed into a deadly striker at Atlas and Club América. He moved to Saudi Arabia's Al-Qadsiah in 2024 and became one of the Saudi Pro League's top scorers, netting 33 goals in 2025–26.
Originally capped by Colombia at youth level, he switched allegiance to Mexico in 2023 and has earned 23 senior caps, including a place in the 2025 Gold Cup squad. He scored Mexico's opening goal of the 2026 FIFA World Cup against South Africa.
