Junya Ito

Junya Itō is a Japanese winger who returned to KRC Genk in Belgium in 2025, having previously been a key player there during his first stint. A direct and rapid wide forward, he is one of Japan's most experienced internationals with 69 caps.

Itō built his reputation at Kashiwa Reysol before moving to KRC Genk in 2019, winning the Belgian title that season. He spent time at Stade de Reims in France before returning to Genk in 2025. During his career he has won the Belgian First Division A, Belgian Cup, and Belgian Super Cup. A regular Japan international since 2017, Itō has accumulated 69 caps and 15 goals, representing the country at the 2019 AFC Asian Cup final, the 2022 World Cup, and the 2023 Asian Cup.
