The story
Czech centre-back and captain of the Czech Republic national team since March 2026. Transferred to Girona in 2024 and joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan in 2025, becoming the first Czech player in Wolves' history.
Krejčí began his career at Zbrojovka Brno in 2016 before joining Sparta Prague in 2019, where he became club captain and won back-to-back Czech First League titles in 2022–23 and 2023–24. He was awarded Czech First League midfielder and player of the season in 2022–23. In June 2024 he moved to Girona in Spain on a five-year deal.
He joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan in August 2025, the first Czech player to represent the club. He scored what is recorded as the fastest goal in Czech national team history in a Euro 2024 qualifier against Poland (March 2023). He was confirmed as Czech Republic captain in March 2026 and steered the team through the World Cup playoffs.
