The story

Manuel Neuer is a German goalkeeper widely regarded as one of the greatest in football history, known for pioneering the sweeper-keeper role. He has been FC Bayern Munich's captain since 2017 and won the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Germany, earning 124 international caps.

Neuer developed through Schalke 04's academy, becoming the club's first-choice keeper and captain by 2010. He joined Bayern Munich in 2011 and quickly established himself as one of the world's elite goalkeepers, winning a domestic treble in his second season and a Champions League and Bundesliga double in 2019–20.

His international career spanned over a decade of major tournaments, culminating in the 2014 FIFA World Cup title where he won the Golden Glove. He holds numerous records including 224 Bundesliga clean sheets and 58 Champions League clean sheets, and was named IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper five times.
