Matheus Nunes

Matheus Nunes is a Brazilian-born Portuguese midfielder at Manchester City, known for his energy, ball-carrying ability, and versatility across midfield and right-back positions. He obtained his Portuguese passport in 2021 and has been a regular in Portugal's squad since.

After starting at Ericeirense and Estoril, Nunes joined Sporting CP in 2019, winning the Primeira Liga in 2021. A €45 million move to Wolverhampton Wanderers followed in 2022, and a year later Manchester City signed him for £53 million.

At City he won the Premier League in 2023–24 and the FA Cup and EFL Cup in 2025–26. He made his Portugal debut in October 2021 after earning his Portuguese passport and represented the country at the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024.
