Mbekezeli Mbokazi

Mbekezeli Mbokazi is a South African centre-back who became one of the youngest players to represent Bafana Bafana, earning 11 caps before joining Chicago Fire FC in MLS in late 2025. He was part of South Africa's 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.

Mbokazi came through Orlando Pirates' academy before making 23 senior appearances for the club in 2025. His form earned him a move to Chicago Fire on a contract through 2029, signed in December 2025, and he quickly established himself with 12 appearances in MLS.

Internationally, he has represented South Africa at U-20 level and earned 11 senior caps, including a goal for Bafana Bafana.
