Obed Vargas

Obed Vargas is a Mexican midfielder born in Alaska who became one of MLS's youngest-ever players at Seattle Sounders before earning a move to Atlético Madrid in 2026.

Vargas joined Seattle Sounders' academy as a teenager and made his MLS debut in 2021 aged just 15, becoming the third-youngest player in league history. He went on to make 92 MLS appearances for the Sounders before signing with Atlético Madrid in 2026.

He represented the United States at youth level before committing to Mexico, earning 6 senior caps. He was selected for Mexico's 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.
