The story
Ross Stewart is a Scottish striker who scored 36 goals across multiple seasons at Sunderland before joining Southampton in 2023. He has represented Scotland at senior level since making his debut in June 2022.
Stewart started his career in junior football before joining Albion Rovers in 2016. He subsequently played for St Mirren, Alloa Athletic on loan, and Ross County, winning the Scottish Championship and Scottish Challenge Cup in 2018–19.
Sunderland signed him and he became one of the club's most prolific strikers, scoring 36 goals across several seasons. He helped Sunderland win the EFL Trophy and reach the League One play-offs in 2022 before joining Southampton in 2023, where he contributed to the Championship play-off success in 2024.
