Florian Wiegele

An Austrian goalkeeper of exceptional stature at 205 cm, reported to be the tallest player ever to feature in a World Cup squad. He plays for FC Viktoria Plzeň and earned his first senior Austria cap in 2026.

Wiegele came through Sturm Graz's youth system and played for SV Lebring, FC Gleisdorf 09, and DSV Leoben before signing with Czech side Viktoria Plzeň in 2024. He was loaned to Grazer AK for the 2024–25 season, where he became a regular starter.

He was named in Austria's 2026 World Cup squad and earned his first senior cap. At 205 cm, he is widely cited as the tallest player ever to be included in a World Cup squad.
