Benjamin Asare

Experienced Ghanaian goalkeeper who established himself as one of the most reliable shot-stoppers in the Ghana Premier League. Named SWAG Male Home-Based Footballer of the Year 2025 and made his senior international debut in the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Asare began his professional career with Sporting Mirren in 2017, moving to Accra City Stars (2018–2020) and then Accra Great Olympics (2020–2024), where he established himself as one of the Ghana Premier League's most dependable goalkeepers. He recorded 12 clean sheets across 18 league matches in the 2024–25 season.

In July 2024 he joined Accra Hearts of Oak. He made his Ghana senior debut in March 2025 during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, keeping clean sheets in his opening matches against Chad and Madagascar, and was rewarded with inclusion in Ghana's 2026 World Cup squad.
