Emiliano Martínez

Emiliano Martínez Toranza is a Uruguayan midfielder who developed at Club Nacional before moving to Europe, winning the Danish Superliga with FC Midtjylland in 2023–24. He currently plays for Palmeiras in Brazil and was part of Uruguay's 2026 World Cup squad.

Martínez progressed through Nacional's youth system in Uruguay, was part of their 2018 U-20 Copa Libertadores winning squad, and made his professional debut in 2019. He helped Nacional win back-to-back Primera División titles in 2019 and 2020 before moving to Brazil with Red Bull Bragantino in 2021.

A loan move to FC Midtjylland in Denmark became permanent in late 2022, and he won the Danish Superliga in 2023–24. He subsequently joined Palmeiras and has established himself in Uruguay's senior squad, participating in the 2024 Copa América and earning selection for the 2026 World Cup.
