Exequiel Palacios

Exequiel Palacios is an Argentine central midfielder who plays for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and is part of Argentina's World Cup-winning generation. He is valued for his technical ability, pressing, and involvement in build-up play.

Palacios developed through River Plate's youth system and made his first-team debut in November 2015, going on to win the Copa Libertadores with the club in 2018. He joined Bayer Leverkusen in January 2020 on a long-term contract, quickly becoming an important figure in the Bundesliga.

At Leverkusen, he was part of the historic 2023–24 squad that won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal without losing a domestic match. Internationally, he was a member of Argentina's squads that won the 2021 Copa América, the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and the 2024 Copa América.
