Florian Wirtz

Florian Wirtz is a German attacking midfielder and one of the most technically gifted young players in European football. After starring for Bayer Leverkusen, he joined Liverpool in 2025 for a club-record fee and has become central to Germany's attacking play.

Wirtz joined Bayer Leverkusen's youth system in 2020 and made his first-team debut at 17, becoming the youngest scorer in Bundesliga history. After recovering from an ACL injury in 2022, he was instrumental in Leverkusen's historic unbeaten domestic double in 2023–24, earning Bundesliga Player of the Season honours.

In June 2025, Wirtz transferred to Liverpool for approximately £100 million, a club record. Internationally, he debuted for Germany in 2021 and became the youngest German player to score in the European Championship at UEFA Euro 2024. He is widely considered one of the top two or three players in Germany's squad alongside Musiala.
