Juan Sanabria

Juan Manuel Sanabria is a young Uruguayan midfielder who progressed through Nacional's youth system before moving to Atlético Madrid's academy in 2018. After gaining senior experience on loan in Spain and Mexico, he joined Real Salt Lake in MLS in early 2026 and earned his first Uruguay senior caps in 2025.

Sanabria developed at Nacional Florida before Atlético Madrid signed him at 18. He made 31 appearances for Atlético's B side and had a loan spell at Real Zaragoza, then moved to Mexican club Atlético San Luis — initially on loan, then permanently — where he accumulated 76 appearances.

His form earned him a transfer to Real Salt Lake in February 2026. He had already represented Uruguay across multiple youth levels, amassing 88 youth international caps, before making his senior debut in 2025 and earning selection for the 2026 World Cup squad.
