Julián Álvarez

A dynamic centre-forward prized for his intelligent movement, pressing, and finishing, Álvarez became one of the most sought-after strikers in world football after his 2022 World Cup campaign, during which he scored 4 goals including a stunning semi-final display against Croatia.

Álvarez rose through River Plate to become Argentine top scorer in 2021 and helped the club win the Copa Libertadores in 2018. Manchester City signed him in January 2022 and, despite heavy competition for places, he won the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League treble in 2022–23 — making him the first player to win the World Cup and a continental treble in the same season.

Seeking more regular first-team football, he joined Atlético Madrid in 2024 and immediately thrived, finishing the 2024–25 La Liga season in the Team of the Season.
