Die Geschichte
Nick Woltemade is a German forward who moved to Newcastle United in 2025 for a club-record £65 million after a breakout season at VfB Stuttgart where he won the DFB-Pokal. One of the tallest players in the Bundesliga at 1.98 m, he has earned 11 Germany senior caps and was selected for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Woltemade came through Werder Bremen's academy and made 48 appearances for the club across the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga. A loan to SV Elversberg in 2022–23 yielded 10 goals in 31 appearances in the 3. Liga, earning him the league's Player of the Season award and Elversberg's title.
He joined VfB Stuttgart for 2024–25, where his 12 goals in 29 appearances and DFB-Pokal winner's medal prompted Newcastle United to sign him for £65 million — a club record. At Newcastle he notched 8 Premier League goals in 33 appearances, becoming the first Newcastle player to score on both his Premier League and Champions League debuts. Internationally, he made his senior debut for Germany in June 2025 and scored 4 goals in 11 caps, also starring at the 2025 UEFA U-21 Championship where he was top scorer and named in the Team of the Tournament.
