Simon Adingra

Simon Adingra is a pacy winger from Yamoussoukro who dazzled at Brighton and on loan at Union SG before moving to Sunderland, and was named Best Young Player at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations as Ivory Coast lifted the trophy.

Adingra made his name in Denmark with FC Nordsjælland before Brighton signed him in 2022. Loaned to Union SG in Belgium, he scored 11 goals in 36 appearances and helped the club to Champions League football. He returned to Brighton and contributed to their Premier League campaign before Sunderland acquired him in 2025.

A loan to AS Monaco followed in 2026. At international level he was outstanding in the 2023 AFCON, providing two assists in the final win over Nigeria and claiming the tournament's Best Young Player award.
