Valentin Barco

Valentín Barco is a young Argentine left-back who made his professional debut for Boca Juniors as a teenager and quickly attracted interest from top European clubs. An attacking full-back with strong defensive instincts, he was included in Argentina's 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.

Barco came through the Boca Juniors academy and broke into their first team in 2021, featuring in the 2023 Copa Libertadores final at just 19. His performances prompted Brighton & Hove Albion to sign him for around $10 million in January 2024. Loan stints followed at Sevilla and Strasbourg, and in July 2025 he joined Strasbourg permanently on a full transfer.

He made his Argentina senior debut in March 2024 and has earned 4 caps and scored 2 goals for the national team.
