Aubrey Modiba

Aubrey Modiba is a South African left-back and left-midfielder who has spent the majority of his career at SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns. A regular presence in the Bafana Bafana setup, he is known for his attacking contributions from a defensive role.

Modiba came through the lower tiers of South African football with Mpumalanga Black Aces before a brief stint at Cape Town City in 2016. He then joined SuperSport United, where he made nearly 100 appearances and established himself as one of the league's better left-sided defenders.

In 2020 he signed for Mamelodi Sundowns, adding over 100 further appearances at club level and winning multiple Premier Soccer League titles. Internationally, he has earned 45 caps and 3 goals for South Africa, including being part of the squad that reached third place at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
