Eldor Shomurodov is Uzbekistan's all-time leading goalscorer with 44 goals from 92 international appearances, a right-footed striker who moved from FC Rostov to Genoa and then AS Roma before joining İstanbul Başakşehir on loan and then permanently in 2025. He won the UEFA Europa Conference League with Roma in 2021–22.
After beginning his career at Mash'al Mubarek and Bunyodkor, Shomurodov joined FC Rostov in 2017 and spent three seasons in the Russian Premier League. His performances attracted Genoa's interest and he moved to Italy in 2020, scoring 8 goals in 31 appearances before AS Roma signed him the following summer.
At Roma he had loan spells at Spezia and Cagliari before joining İstanbul Başakşehir on loan in 2025, where he excelled as joint top scorer in the Süper Lig. He was made permanent that summer. Internationally, he became Uzbekistan's record scorer and led the attack as the team qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, also winning the 2025 CAFA Nations Cup.
