Ernest Nuamah

Ernest Nuamah is a Ghanaian winger from Kumasi who burst onto the scene at FC Nordsjælland before joining Olympique Lyonnais. He was named Danish Superliga Player of the Year in 2022–23 and has accumulated 18 caps and four goals for Ghana.

Nuamah came through the Right to Dream Academy and made an immediate impact at Nordsjælland, scoring 17 goals in 43 appearances and winning both the Superliga Player and Young Player of the Year awards in 2022–23. RWD Molenbeek secured his registration before loaning him to Lyon.

Lyon made the deal permanent in 2024 and he has since made 26 appearances for the Ligue 1 club. A serious anterior cruciate ligament rupture in April 2025 interrupted his development, though he recovered in time to be included in the 2026 World Cup squad.
