Fabián Balbuena

Fabián Balbuena is a professional Paraguayan defender who plays as a centre-back for Brazilian club Grêmio and the Paraguay national team.

Balbuena played for several Paraguayan clubs including Libertad before joining Corinthians, where he won two state championships and a Serie A title. He later played for West Ham and Dynamo Moscow before signing with Grêmio in 2025.

He debuted for the senior Paraguay national team in 2015, representing them in four Copa América tournaments, and won a gold medal at the 2024 Olympics as an over-aged player.
