Gaël Kakuta

Gaël Kakuta is a professional winger who plays for Greek Super League club AEL and represents the DR Congo national team.

Kakuta was a highly rated youth product of RC Lens before joining Chelsea in 2007. During his time at Chelsea, he had loan spells with six different clubs across five countries. He later played for clubs including Sevilla, Rayo Vallecano, Amiens, Lens, and Sakaryaspor, before transferring to AEL in 2026.

At international level, Kakuta represented France at youth levels, winning the 2010 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, before switching his allegiance to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2017.
