Gideon Mensah

Gideon Mensah is a Ghanaian left-back who spent several years in the Red Bull Salzburg system before settling at AJ Auxerre in France, where he has become one of the club's key defenders. He has earned over 30 caps for Ghana across three major tournaments.

Mensah began his senior career at WAFA and FC Liefering before joining Red Bull Salzburg in 2017. He spent his Salzburg years on loan at Sturm Graz, Zulte Waregem, Vitória de Guimarães, and Girondins de Bordeaux before moving permanently to Auxerre in 2022.

At Auxerre he has accumulated over 111 appearances and was part of the side that won the Ligue 2 title in 2023–24 to return to the top flight. His international record stands at 31 caps, with appearances at the 2021 AFCON, 2022 World Cup, and 2023 AFCON.
