Hakan Çalhanoğlu is Turkey's captain and one of the most decorated midfielders of his generation, having won multiple Serie A titles and Coppa Italia trophies with Inter Milan. He began his career in Germany before becoming a key figure in Italian football.
Çalhanoğlu developed at Karlsruher SC, winning the 3. Liga title in 2012–13 and earning a move to Hamburger SV and then Bayer Leverkusen. He joined AC Milan in 2017, spending four seasons there before crossing Milan's rivalry in 2021 to sign for Inter, where he has established himself as a creative deep-lying midfielder.
At Inter he has won two Serie A titles, three Coppa Italia, and three Supercoppa Italiana, while twice reaching the Champions League final. For Turkey he has surpassed 100 caps, scoring 22 goals and captaining the side at UEFA Euro 2024.
