Hernán Galíndez

Hernán Galíndez is an Argentine-born goalkeeper who naturalised as Ecuadorian and became a key figure between the posts for the national team. He spent nine seasons at Universidad Católica del Ecuador and later won the Ecuadorian Serie A with Aucas in 2022.

After starting at Rosario Central, Galíndez moved to Ecuador in 2012 and anchored the Universidad Católica del Ecuador goal for nearly a decade. He subsequently joined Universidad de Chile, then Aucas, where he helped the club claim the 2022 Serie A title.

Galíndez returned to Argentina with Huracán in 2024. He has 34 caps for Ecuador and featured at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
