La historia

Ibrahim Sangaré is a tall, combative midfielder from Koumassi who excelled at PSV Eindhoven and moved to Nottingham Forest in 2023, playing a key role in Ivory Coast's 2023 AFCON triumph.

Sangaré came through Toulouse's academy and spent four seasons in the first team before PSV Eindhoven signed him in 2020. His three years in Eindhoven were decorated with two KNVB Cup titles and three Johan Cruyff Shields, and his consistent form earned a Premier League move to Nottingham Forest in 2023.

He featured prominently in Ivory Coast's run to the 2023 AFCON title, coming on as a substitute in the final as the Elephants defeated Nigeria. He had made 57 international appearances and scored 12 goals by the time of the 2026 World Cup.
