João Cancelo

João Cancelo is a versatile Portuguese full-back equally comfortable on either flank, currently at Barcelona on loan from Al Hilal. He won three Premier League titles and the Champions League with Manchester City and is one of Portugal's most-capped active defenders.

After developing at Benfica and a loan at Valencia, Cancelo joined Juventus in 2018, winning the Serie A title. Manchester City paid £27.4 million for him in 2019 and he became one of the game's most dynamic full-backs, earning multiple PFA Team of the Year nods and helping City win the 2022–23 treble. Loan spells at Bayern Munich (2022–23) and Barcelona followed before he joined Saudi club Al Hilal in August 2024.

He returned to Barcelona on loan in January 2026, winning La Liga. Internationally, Cancelo debuted in 2016, won the 2019 Nations League, and has over 60 caps for Portugal.
