Lawrence Shankland

Lawrence Shankland is a prolific Scottish striker whose breakthrough came at Ayr United, where he scored 50 goals in 61 appearances. He has since established himself as one of Scotland's leading forwards with Hearts.

Shankland progressed through Queen's Park before joining Aberdeen in 2013. He spent several seasons on loan at lower-division clubs including Dunfermline Athletic, St Mirren, and Greenock Morton before his breakthrough at Ayr United (2017–2019), where he was the Scottish league's top scorer.

He joined Dundee United and helped them win the Championship in 2019–20. After a stint with Belgian side Beerschot he signed for Hearts in July 2022, winning the PFA Scotland Players' Player of the Year and SFWA Footballer of the Year awards in 2023–24.
